IV. Click the [RESUME] 4 times and then [POWER]. This is Europe, CD-R enabled.
Press [RESUME] then [POWER] again.

1. Remove plastic blocking opening
This can be done very easily with a screw driver. Just lower the door down and slide a flathead screwdriver down behind the plastic piece and very gently push forward.
Be very careful not to damage the soft bendable plastic, might want to wrap the screwdriver in tape first so it doesn’t scrap the plastic either.
I recommend placing the screwdriver in at one end, don’t try it in the middle.
It should pop out without much effort.
2a. Instructions to enable cd printing:
1. Press MENU then SCAN then COPY then SCAN to enter “service mode”.

2a. Right Arrow to #5 Type press [OK]:

CYGNUS-1 for the MP750
CYGNUS-2 for the MP780
Press [OK]
2b. You will then be taken to the region selection. Choose “standard” and press OK.
3. After “standard” is selected press the power button to reset the printer, “do not unplug”. This should result in the printer booting up and asking for your language preference. Choose English or whatever is your preferred Language.
Continue on to 2b.
2b. Instructions continued:
1. MENU SCAN COPY SCAN to enter “service mode” once again.
Be sure the rear feeder has paper and the front cd-r drawer is closed. Make sure that the back feeder is chosen from the Feeder Switch.
2. Enter “Test Mode” by left arrow and then [OK]; Using the right arrow select option 3: PRINTER then [OK], followed by option [6] cd-R Calibration. a blank piece of paper is sucked from the rear tray.
3. after this select option [4] EPROM while still in the PRINTER sub menu to print off a sheet that will say whether value CDRS= (XXX) is anything other than 000, if it’s still 000 repeat the alignment step.
4. Press power to reset the printer and return to normal mode.

Note: The menus might be different on your model so you might need to look elsewhere for the functions.
2c. To enable CD/DVD Printing (Optional)

1. Menu-scan-copy-scan to get into “service mode”
2. left arrow once to reach “test mode” press ok
3. select option 3 “printer” press ok
4. Put a printable disc in the tray, insert into the printer making sure the arrows align up, select option 3 “cd-r check pattern” press OK
5. Once printed press power to exit the service mode and resume normal operation, this will cause the printer to reset.

3. Install the Driver
