Here is a template that allows you to print directly to the cd tray with Adobe Photoshop:

Print Direct Photoshop Template Tray B

Print Direct Photoshop Template Tray F

Print Direct Photoshop Template Tray E

I would recommend using the preview before print feature that is in the printer properties so you can see where the alignment is before it gets sent to the printer.

1. Download the template:

2. Load it in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

3. Design your label, it’s 300 dpi so it will require high quality images and whatever else you create.

4. Export the image at the highest quality jpeg: FES.jpg

5. Open CD label Print or Nero Cover Designer and set the design as your background. Your ready to print, be sure to enable preview before print in the printer properties.

I really don’t recommend this template, it is a attempt to print directly to cd from Adobe Illustrator. A lot of problems can crop up using this method and possibly ruining the print head on your printer. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!!

I created a template for Adobe Illustrator, which is the tool I use for my labels, and thought I would pass it on to you for inclusion in the site.
It’s a pdf file, but opening it up in Illustrator will show several nested layers. The user’s design should go into
the layer called, appropriately, “Put Design Here.” The other layers are a guide layer called “Guide”
with circles to help place your artwork (guide layers don’t print), and a mask layer to mask out anything that shouldn’t
be printed in the center hole or beyond the bounds of the CD or DVD.

A better and safer method is to use the Easy Photoshop Guide: easy-adobe-photoshop-cd-label-guide
