Hay, i was wondering how do you print the template out on to say carboard?. I have tried printing it out but it just asks for a cd to be inserted into the prinetr via the tray. Any help would be greatfully appreciated :)

    spike:

    1. Download and install Nero Cover Designer (it is included in Nero).

    2. Purchase a Tray F from eBay.

    3. Load this template into Nero Cover Designer and it will allow you to print cd/dvd on Tray F using 119mm verbatim media.

This is not a whole tray template, it’s template for Nero Cover Designer.

    Hi.

I’m using this template with Nero CoverDesigner v3.2.3.0 and following all the instructions from here, the CD came out with a margin of 2mm.
    Any Help?

I’m using a MP600 European edition and Verbatim Printables.

    Thanks

Make sure to uncheck the 2mm bleed setting.

Is the margin on the outer part or the inner part?

    Is in the outter part.

Check the template and make sure it is 59.5mm which is 119mm diameter. The second picture above shows you where you should look for that. If it is 59.5mm and it’s still to small then try making it a little bigger like 60mm.

    Hello,

I live in the US and recently stumbled upon this site when I was trying to unlock the CD printing on my Canon Pixma MP600. Thanks to this site I had absolutely no problem in doing so! I have a Tray F printer and am using Nero’s CoverDesigner to print on my DVD’s.

I had one question regarding this template. When I print my DVD’s there is a hair-thin line on the inner any outer surface of my DVD. This line is only printed in CoverDesigner (not in LabelPrint). Does anyone know how to remove this template line? It appears when I increase the printable size from the default settings.

If this cannot be removed, is there any alternative [free] program which can do so?

Thanks for such a useful and excellent site!

    @Macro:

Does your image go beyond the outside and inside gray margin line in Nero?

The bleed area is intended to push a little of the image over the margins so that there is no white area on the either the inner or outer parts but it also clips some of the image. If the bleed area is off when you are printing try turning it on to see if it it gives you the results you are looking for.

What type of media are you using and can you measure them to see how many mm they are?

Did you preview the printout in Canon’s printer driver before printing?

    Hey Admin,

Thanks for the reply! Sorry that I was unclear earlier. The printing does go outside these template lines in Nero. I do have the bleed area turned off (as per your instructions in the Tutorial) but did not try turning it back on.

Media wise, I am using some Taiyo Yuden CD-R’s to print on. Measured, they are exactly 119mm outerX37mm inner.

Interestingly enough these lines DO appear in the print preview. I have no clue as to how to turn them off though (see below)! My old (now busted) Epson printer never showed these lines in their in-house software (PrintCD). Canon’s software is way too limited for me.

Lastly, I tried the Photoshop template, but I don’t like the fact that it prints over the entire hub of the cd. It makes a mess on my tray.

Any ideas as to how to remove those lines from Nero?

** I scanned a printed disc to show you exactly what I mean. Hopefully this URL will work:

    Thanks again!

    @Macro:

If you want to create a NO BORDER template try these steps:

    1. Open Nero Cover Designer and select “custom” from the popup dialog, it’s near the bottom on the left hand side.

    2. Slap the artwork you want and then click File>Print>Click the properties “tab” and then change print borders and print crop marks to NEVER.

    3. Print the design or at least send it to the Canon preview window then click File>Save as and save the template as NoBroders.nct, it will then be listed in the custom section after that and also the File drop down menu.

Now you have a template that will never print a border on the cd/dvd.

Oh my god. Thank you SO much Admin! I spent the better part of 3 hours today trying to figure it out. I read the manual on Nero’s site and everything and still could not find the answer! I knew it was there but I could not find it! Thank you SO much for pointing that out to me!

Thanks to who ever put together this site! It has been extremely beneficial to me and I will be visiting it many times in the future!

Love this template. Saved me tons of time and some dvd’s trying to get the right numbers. Worked on my MP610 right away.
